Five things to check before you sign up
Does it ask for a card?
A trial that needs payment details usually converts to a paid plan automatically. Put a reminder in your calendar two days before it ends.
Which plan are you trialling?
Trials often unlock the top tier. Check the features you rely on are in the plan you would actually buy.
What happens to your data at the end?
Find out whether your data is kept, frozen or deleted if you do not upgrade, and how long you have to export it.
Can it be extended?
Some vendors will extend a trial if you ask. Ask before the last day, not after it.
Who else needs to try it?
Invite the people who will use it every day during the trial, not after you have paid.
