Free trials, free plans and current offers

Everything on this page comes from what the vendor publishes. Where there is a genuine offer we can verify, it is listed. Where there is not, this page says so rather than dressing up a standard trial as a deal.

What counts as a deal here. A price that is lower than the published list price, for a reason the vendor states publicly. A free trial is not a deal — it is the normal way to buy software, and we list those separately below. We do not accept payment to feature an offer, and an offer appearing here is not a recommendation: read the review first.

We are not tracking a discount we can stand behind this month. Rather than pad the page, we have left it empty — the free plans and trials below are real and cost nothing, and they are usually the better starting point anyway.

Tools with a real free plan

A free plan you can run a business on is worth more than any launch discount. These are the ones where the free tier is a product rather than a trial in disguise.

Every free trial, side by side

Trial terms as published by each vendor, verified on the date shown in the review. The last column is the thing most likely to go wrong once you are past the demo — test that first, while it still costs you nothing.
ToolCategoryTrial or free planStarting priceBest forTest this first
Draftmill AI writing 14-day trial From $19/user/mo Small teams Like everything in this category it invents facts and citations; assume every claim needs checking
Pipeforge CRM 21-day trial From $29/user/mo Growing SMB Custom reporting is locked to the $79 tier, which is where the real cost sits
Mailkeel Email automation Free plan, no card Free plan, then $29/mo Small teams Priced per contact, so the bill climbs even when you send less
Stackleaf Headless CMS 30-day trial From $45/user/mo Mid-market You need a developer to launch it, and probably to keep it running
Quotely Proposals & CPQ 14-day trial From $35/user/mo Growing SMB Integrations outside sales tools are thin — no accounting sync worth relying on
Replyloop AI support 14-day trial From $55/agent/mo Growing SMB Fiddly escalation rules are the most-cited setup complaint — budget a day, not an hour
Rankcraft SEO & analytics 7-day trial From $79/user/mo Mid-market $79 is hard to justify below roughly weekly publishing
Dealbase Lightweight CRM Free plan From $14/user/mo Solo No team permissions — everyone sees everything
Nodewise AI automation 14-day trial From $49/user/mo Growing SMB Debugging a failed run is the most repeated complaint — logs say what broke, not why
Knowbase Knowledge base 14-day trial From $22/user/mo Small teams The editor is limited beyond simple formatting — tables are roughly the ceiling
Vaultkit Digital asset management 30-day trial From $65/user/mo Mid-market The upfront tagging work is a fortnight nobody budgets for
Broadcastly Social scheduling Free plan From $18/user/mo Solo Analytics are thin enough that you'll still export to a spreadsheet

Make the trial count

Five things to do before the clock runs out

  1. Import your real data on day one

Sample data hides every import problem. Load a genuine export from whatever you use now, mess and all, in the first hour.

  2. Run one full week of normal work

Not a demo scenario. The actual Monday-to-Friday, including the awkward job nobody wants to do.

  3. Break the thing the review warns about

Every review here names a main trade-off. Go straight at it — that is the part that will annoy you in month six.

  4. Open a support ticket deliberately

Ask something real and time the reply. Support speed during a trial is the fastest it will ever be.

  5. Check you can get your data back out

Export everything before you pay for anything. If the export is partial or paid-for, treat that as the price of leaving.

We will tell you when an offer is actually worth taking

One email a week. Offers only when there is one, and always with the catch stated.
